Video Applications and New Technology

Video application can be difficult to put in place so that you can start operating them. The reason for that is they require a lot of bandwidth for them to operate effectively. There are many environmental obstacles (industrial and germane) that the radios that transmit the data within the wireless network come face to face with. There are two factors to take in to consideration when you want to combine the two environmental obstacles and these are limitations and capabilities. In an industrial environment they are a few components that are needed to create a network and these are video technology, radio technology and wireless video technology.

Under water video camera has different applications. There are different thing that one can do with the camera firstly you can take pictures of the fish at the bottom of the ocean and other sea life that you can find down there and you can place the camera at the bottom of the pool as well and then watch them later. It will be like the Olympic camera which shows the under side of the swimmers who will be competing. You can also place the camera in an aquarium and see the fish from another perspective the perspective of a marine biologist. When you go fishing use the camera to view the quantity of fish that is underneath the water. The video camera can be connected to portable monitor, LC, TVs and camcorder.

There are many video applications that people use on a daily basis but sometimes were not even aware that it is a video application. One of those is video editing. This type of application deals with as the name says the editing of videos. You can edit a video on the computer. You will be altering the sequence of the video. JPEG is the simplest from in which a video is stored in the directory. You can view the directory n and the screen shows one big image. The application enables you to edit audio clips in the video but I would call it more like sync the audio clips with the videos.

You can add transitions and special effects by decreasing the quality of the image. You can create web video, video pod cast, Mobile phone video and DVD by encoding the video. There are few companies that started this type of application and these are Sony Vegas, adobe premiere and pinnacle systems just to mention a few. These companies lead the way when it comes to the way videos are edited. These companies have programs of the applications that are named after the name of the company itself. These programs sometimes use custom hardware for video editing.

A DVDx is a video encoding application. The application enables you to convert a DVD video into windows media video, AV1 and VCD2.0. There are many video applications that one has at his or her disposal. Video editing is only a tip of the ice berg when it comes to video applications. Before you go out to the video application it is best to first look at the various software that is being offered online for video applications. When you Google the key words you will get links straight to some of the sites that deal with such applications there are different things that you have to look at when your comparing the video application software that is available online firstly it is the developer or the software and most of the time it is either apple, avid or adobe. When the software was released is a crucial bit of information as you know that technology is ever going forward. Software is constantly being improved so you have to look for the software with the latest date of release, some of the makers of the software will place two dates of the software and those two dates simply mean the first time it was released and the release date of the latest version of the software. You have to know the product that you want to buy. The best way to get to know about the product is to research on it and read the reviews and articles that have been written about the product. The price of the software is what most of us would check first before everything else. There are a lot of software makers of video applications so I would think it is best for you to stick to the maker that you usually use especially if you have never had any problems with thee products of that manufacturer.

With computers it is always best to know your computer its requirements .you have to check if your computer and the application will be compatible or not and you can get all this information from reviews.

Applications that you can find in the software are for social networking sites so that you can use them for streamlining your video into the sites. The different software that you will find is made for three groups of people and these are consumers, companies and professionals and these three groups are spilt into two economic groups the expensive and cheap. The interface between the user and the software is good as the software is easy to use. The number of video application software that is out there is amazing and sometimes it can be mind boggling what people do with all of these applications but the truth of the matter is that some of the applications that are available are used by professionals for example when it comes to video editing . These kind of applications are left to the guys who work in Hollywood. The applications cut across many section of industry from television to internet and not forgetting communications in industrial areas.

I would personally advise you to seek assistance when you are looking to select software for video applications the reason being is that in some of the sites that have reviews of the software it is usually guys that are used to the technical jargon and thus it makes it hard for you to understand what exactly the function of the software is. Online video applications, many businesses in many sectors of the economy use videos extensively online. The online video application can be grouped into three group business applications, consumer applications and industry sectors. Businesses use videos for many purposes online for example e-commerce, many businesses have videos on their websites so as to illustrate to clients what exactly it is that they offer and how it works. The videos online re also used by the companies to provide a forum for their clients to post their reviews on the products that they have used. There are video press releases that one can expect from the website as the name says they are for communicating with the press or customers who visit the site.

If you come to look at it , video applications are a lot of fun. They add something new to the things that we do on a daily basis. They add that efficiency and ease that we crave for when we are doing things. No one wants to do something that is difficult as that takes away the fun of doing so. Many people are into face book and having the video application software to stream your videos on to the site makes it even more fun and it is a pleasure to do because you can do it with great ease. There are other video application software that we use and were not even aware that it is an application system. For example people who are on my space some of the systems that they use the browse the site are video applications that make it possible for one to locate videos with ease.

There are certain video applications that are made for certain industries in mind for example the imovie application is made for editing films and that was definitely one application that was made with Hollywood directors in mind. The application can now be used by the ordinary person and that is due to the creators of the software trying to reach a wider audience and have they product being more profitable. Video applications have revolutionized the way that advertising is done online and people have moved from the traditional way of advertising online. The reason why video applications have done so is

Because they are a lot of sites that have videos as they main medium of spreading the message. Sites like my space and other social networking sites have pushed the limits of advertising. It seems that videos appeal more to consumers and many businesses are getting in on the act. The increase in the viewer ship of online videos has lead to video applications needing to be improved. The reason why there is a need for them to improve is because companies are always trying to out do each other and the one that comes up with video application that is more appealing will get more people watching the video and hopefully for them that will lead to more sales.

Social networking sites have lead to video application being more in demand a people on these social networking sites get to share a lot like videos , music and pictures and they need to do that in ways that are always changing. Firstly it was only sharing of pictures, music and videos but of late they are some social networking sites that allow one to give virtual gifts and to do so you need to have some video application.

Video applications do not stop at videos that have to do with the internet but are there to in video games like play station portable. You can also use the video application to down load videos on to your ipod using peer to peer application.

Some of the video applications that one can find in the market deliver live broadcasts. They deliver on demand television quality to nay network that is connected to a device such as a personal computer laptop or notebook. The video applications do so with the permission or a special arrangement with certain companies that deals with the broadcasting of videos. The advantages of the characteristics of such a video application is that you save money as you do not have to travel and you do not have to train any of your staff. There is not much that the end user has to learn.

Internet service providers that also host websites for people have not had a slump in business because there ahs been growth that is being pushed by consumer broadband plus video applications and this in turn is pushing the demand for hosting of sites with video capabilities. Video applications are every where and can be used for almost anything that has something to do with video. There are many companies and individuals that are grateful for the services that are performed by these video applications as they make life easier and for businesses will they assist them in making profits

You are going to buy video application software they are a few thing s that you have to make sure that you know. You have to know the type of computer that you use and whether the software that you buy will be compatible with the hardware. Secondly you have to do research on the software that you are buying, when it was made and it purpose. You have to make sure that you go out and buy the right type of software, by that I mean that you have to buy the software that has applications that you need. It is of no use if you are going to buy software that is for editing movies when you want software to download your videos and pictures on to the internet.

The importance of video applications can not be overemphasized as they have changed the way that people operate.

Power Tips For Adding Audio To Your Web Site

Web site audio can really make an impact on your customers when they visit your site. In fact, it can change a simple visitor to a customer. The correct web audio software can do this for you. It’s an easy way to add audio to your web site.

Mind you, I’m not only talking about adding a nice sounding voice recorded audio that lacks pizazz. I’m thinking “professional” all the way. That means upbeat introductory music, background music to add interest to the recorded voice, and ending with a smooth fading out of the music.

I’m talking streaming audio that plays automatically when a visitor enters your web site or instantly when they click the “play” button…your choice. I’m talking audio that sounds like it was done in a multi-thousand dollar professional recording studio…but was really done by you on your own computer.

I’m thinking about phenomenal audio created and put on your web site with quickness and ease by anyone…even someone who isn’t technical. This is “web audio” at its absolute finest. Would you rather listen to a voice only recording or a voice with pleasing and smooth sounding music lead-in, background, and fade out that creates the emotional response that turns visitors into buyers?

All of these above fantastic capabilities are not only possible, they are available today.

The “secret” to putting audio on your web site is to find an easy to use software created for this specific purpose. There is a wide variety of software to do this. There are even some services that you subscribe to on a monthly basis to accomplish this. I definitely recommend using your own software instead of paying monthly fees. Why pay every month when you can simply pay one extremely small fee for the software to use over and over again on as many web pages and web sits as you want?

The right software for you should have these features:

* All In One Solution – Record audio, add one of many included background music styles, and easily choose the color, shape, and size of the player. No other expensive and cumbersome external software or service needed!

* Stream Audio Immediately – You choose whether your audio starts as soon as a visitor comes to your site or the visitor clicks the play button for it to start. Either way it starts in seconds and makes its impact.

* At Least 10 Professional Background Loops For Variety – Background audio loops should be professionally recorded. They should represent various music styles and tempo.

* Customizable Audio Players – The software lets you customize your audio player. You choose from 6 stunning player styles. Choose any color under the sun. And size your player to fit your page design.

* Automatic Fade-Up & Fade Out – Wrap your voice-based marketing message in a perfect introduction, leading with a perfect induction, and closing with ease. It’s point-and-click easy to give your audio the professional sound that will blow your visitors away.

* Use multiple players on one page. Many audio solutions don’t allow you to put more than one player on each page. Of course, though, this is something you might absolutely need. The right audio software lets you do this easily and effectively, again with no technical skill required.

* Use exclusive “affiliate jump” technology. The best web audio software allows you to automatically forward your visitors to the web site you want them directed to at the end of your audio. Your conversions will go sky-high with this exclusive technology for affiliate promotions, teleseminar playback, and more.

* Use your existing audio files. Your audio software, of course, must let you record or brand a new audio file with the program itself. In addition, though, you can make use of any existing MP3 or WAV audio file on your computer.

* Don’t pay any monthly fees. Instead of paying someone $20-$40 every month plus add-on fees to host your audio files, host the audio on your own web server with the right web audio software. You’ll also never worry about your audio going off-line.

Now that you know all about web audio, go get the software and use it. You’ll be glad you did.

A Brief Information Guide About Audio Codecs

Visit Audio Video Codec for more on audio and video codecs.

Visit Audio Codecs – What are they?

Audio codecs are defined as software applications of hardware devices (with the same kind of software) that can compress audio files and then decompress them. In fact, the codecs used for compression and decompression work with opposite principles, but they are quite similar to each other in the manner of their working.

The formats used by audio formats are any applicable digital audio formats that are commonly used. For transmission over the Internet, codecs can also compress and convert files into streaming audio formats.

The word ‘codec’ is derived from coding-decoding, which is what a codec does. It first codes the digital data into a small compressed form and then plays back the data by reconverting it into the original form.

Audio Codecs – How do they work?

Audio codecs work with the principle of audio compression. This is a process of reducing the size of an audio file so that it is covered within as few bits of data as possible. The idea is to remove all unnecessary sound bits and bundle them into a smaller format so that they are compressed. When the file needs to be played back, a decoding system is put into play which can expand the files again so that they can be played.

Lossless and Lossy Audio Codecs

There are two types of compression that audio codecs can perform. Based on that, they are called as lossless and lossy audio codecs.

Lossless audio codecs retain a copy of the original audio files before converting them, so that any kind of qualitative or quantitative loss becomes reversible. However, this also increases the size of the file even after compression. It is difficult to have a lossless audio codec that can compress an audio file below 50 to 60% of its original size.

Lossy audio codecs are those that do not retain any previous information. They compress the audio to the smallest size possible and transmit them where they are decoded to a playable size. However, there is a danger of loss of data because of the fact that there is no backup created. The brighter side of this is that lossy audio compressed files are substantially smaller in size. These can easily compress the files to 5 to 20% of their original size.

Today, most audio codecs available in the market are of the lossy type. Though they will cause a deterioration of the quality of the file, they are good for online transmission and even storing on discs. For that reason, people prefer lossy audio codecs over the lossless ones.

Audio Codecs – The Tradeoff

There is always a compromise involved when audio codecs are used. It is not possible to predict in advance how these files will be compressed and whether they will play at good quality upon being decompressed or not. This is especially because most codecs used today are lossless. Though this becomes ideal for sending digitally compressed audio files over the Internet, they also mar the original quality of the recording. Hence, these audio codecs are used only sparingly and only in areas that really require them.

Should Cars Have High End Audio Cables

For years it has been well understood in home audio that cables can have a tremendous impact on a sound system, both good and bad. Choose the right cables and you can expect a system to come to life. Choose poorly designed cables, and you may forever be wondering why you can’t get your system to come to life.

Car audio however, has been a different story. While many companies still offer coaxial interconnect cables, most have come to realize that the basic twisted pair design offers far better noise rejection in a vehicle. And then… Nothing. That’s it. Innovation seems to have hit a brick wall at the shielded twisted pair interconnect in car audio. This begs the question; Should Cars Have High End Audio Cables?

To begin with, let’s briefly go back to home audio. After many years of fighting an uphill battle, the idea that cables make a difference has become a mainstream ideology amongst audiophiles. But it isn’t just audiophiles who can hear the difference. In fact, in our own testing, the differences can be heard by just about anybody, even on very modest audio systems. It just takes a willingness to discard any preconceived notions and actually listen to some music.

So, if cables make a difference in home audio, is there a reason why it shouldn’t matter in car audio? The quick answer is no. The following outlines some of the reasons why cables matter just as much, if not more, in car audio.

Many people are under the impression that car audio uses shorter cables than home audio, and therefore does not need to bother with high fidelity cables. This is completely incorrect. While the typical interconnect length in a home audio system is about 1 meter, vehicles will frequently use 5 or 6 meter interconnects to put amplifiers in the trunk. In terms of speaker cables, car audio almost always uses cables longer than the 6-8 feet used in most home audio setups.

Vehicles represent a far more challenging environment for cables than home audio systems. Two typical sources of noise in cables are Electro-Magnetic Interference (EMI) and Radio Frequency Interference (RFI). In vehicles, the entire chassis is frequently used as the ground return path. This allows noise from car components such as the alternator to be inducted into the audio cables via EMI. In terms of RFI, unless proper shielding is used, the longer cables in cars will act as antennas and pull in more noise. A third source of noise in a vehicle is vibration. This is of course far worse in a vehicle than in a home system. Pear Cable is the first company to bring out a car audio cable that virtually eliminates the noise caused by cable vibration. The TRIBODeadÔ technology present in the Comice Silver Interconnect is an electrically conductive plastic layer that prevents static electrical charges, caused by vibration, from building up in the cable.

- Is Quality Sound Just for Home Audio or does it have a Place in Car Audio Too?

Some people feel that a car audio sound system will never be as good as a home audio system, and therefore high fidelity cables are a waste of money in a car. This is a faulty conclusion. The experience of listening to music in your vehicle while driving down the highway is unique and cannot be replicated in the home audio environment. The bottom line here is that many people spend more time listening to their car audio system than their home system, and they want it to be the best that it can be. The characteristics of bad audio cables (listening fatigue, poor realism, overly bright treble, or general noise) will all still be audible in a car audio system. Just like home audio, the wrong cables in your vehicle will kill the listening experience.

At the end of the day, many people want quality sound in their vehicles. If you are installing an aftermarket system in your vehicle and you care about sound quality, you need to care about cables. If you are only interested in having the loudest car, without regards to accuracy, then high fidelity audio cables probably aren’t for you. Otherwise, it simply doesn’t make sense to shell out good money on amplifiers and speakers, only to hook it all up with mediocre wire. Car audio enthusiasts are every bit as serious as home audio enthusiasts, and now there is finally a cable company that is serious about serving their needs.

A Career In Audio Engineering

Audio engineering is a promising career that offers immense opportunity in film, video production, sound broadcasting and advertising. Audio engineers use a number of recording devices such as high-tech microphones that are required to record even the slightest variations of sound.

The general concept of engineering relates to building bridges, buildings, roads and similar kind of work. Most people do not think of audio engineering as a form of traditional engineering. However, it is one of the highest paying jobs and has many successful people working in the field.

There are many areas of audio engineering; some are basic and easy to grasp, while others are time consuming and require vigorous education to learn to operate the equipment. Audio engineering is not a sexy job, but once you start working in this field of career you will get an opportunity to work on many exciting projects.

A lot of commitment and interest is required in order to excel in this field.

Areas of Work

Audio engineers may find jobs in the following fields:

-Movies: In movies, sound engineers may be required for voice overs, sound tracks and scenes.

-Television shows: Many television shows and commercials also require audio engineers in various departments prior to the final airing.

-Music: Audio engineers play a significant role in the field of music; particularly in live concerts, recording studios, and video albums.

The Future of Online Video Marketing & the Benefits of Video Production

Video Production & Market Penetration

There are now some 43,221,464 internet users in the UK alone (Dec 2008 InternetWorldStats), representing a staggering 70.9% penetration for consumer opportunities. It’s no surprise then that the past few years have seen an increasing presence of internet strategies incorporated into business marketing plans. According to a recent survey 1 in 5 companies say that they now spend more than half of their total marketing budget online. However, it has become increasingly difficult for companies to differentiate themselves from the competition, prompting online marketers to explore ever more creative ways with which to attract new visitors and convert them into customers; and with the rapid improvements in streaming technology, companies are now sitting up and taking note of the potential marketing possibilities that online video marketing has to offer. The US has taken a demonstrable lead over the UK, and the online market in the US is predicted to be worth $3 billion by 2010 (E-consultancy). Clearly, online video production is set to explode in the marketing world as a lucrative and essential tool for both large corporate businesses and SME’s.

Dynamic Logic is a leading independent research company that specializes in measuring marketing effectiveness and the impact of online video. It regularly publishes results showing an overall increase in the effectiveness of online video in terms of breakthrough and communication, when comparing video with overall online marketing results. Specifically looking at areas such as message association, brand awareness and favourability, but most importantly purchase intent, they found that placing video online proved to be far more effective than standard internet advertising. ComScore Chairman Gian Fulgoni, for example, has recently revealed that his organisation has detected that exposure to online video advertising can lead to a 40% increase in buying a product or service.

Compared to text, graphics and illustrations, video has the ultimate power to engage and hold the viewer’s attention. The latest technological advances mean that video clips now play instantly, and with perfect sound and picture quality. Video delivers the information quickly and simply, and at its best, creates emotional pull that leads viewers to take action. It’s worth remembering that people relate to people more than anything else, and even the simplest messages can really help to bring a website to life. So what are the applications for video?

Product Demonstrations Training Sales Presentations Press Briefings Internal Communications Recruitment Corporate Overview Corporate Social Responsibility

These are just some ideas and the list is limited only by the imagination, but how effective can these videos be? Well, take client testimonials. Most websites seem to carry quotes from happy customers in predictable and repetitive text format. Customer testimonials are a great way to endorse a company, service or a product, but in this written format, does anyone truly believe them? Are they genuine, and do they reach out and grab your attention? Now imagine how much more persuasive it can be when a customer speaks live on camera and uses his own words to say how good you are and how great you are to work with. Now that really does have impact.

A current hot topic is Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Good corporate governance is under the spotlight and companies are falling over themselves to promote their social and environmental credentials. Most large companies will now have a CSR section prominently displayed on their website, and usually supported by lengthy PDF documents of their policies and reports. The problem is that very few people open them or download them. The easy solution is to provide a video that features highlights of good business practice, whether it be the CEO planting trees, or senior managers visibly involved in running local charity events. Communicating a difficult product or service, or maybe a new concept, is not best served by a barrage of text and graphs, yet it’s amazing how many websites still do just this. Financial institutions and technology companies are often the worst culprits. Yet a filmed presenter, describing a service supported by explanatory animated graphics, or providing a live product demonstration, can really help to get the message across in an interesting and informative way. It can make the difference between a bored visitor clicking on to another site, or an interested visitor who gets the message and responds to a call to action there and then.

Web Designers

Should web designers be recommending video for all their clients’ websites from now on? Every site has its own unique functions and desired outcomes, and video certainly isn’t for everyone. Added to this, clients will have their own ideas about how they want their website to look. But web designers should certainly be aware of the power of video. They should be educating their clients about new trends, and helping them explore every avenue to ensure that the website reaches its full potential. There are big financial benefits to using online video, and companies can save a considerable amount of money in manpower, travel, and DVD mail outs, by communicating to an unlimited mass audience instantly and simultaneously. It’s worth noting that consumers are far more likely to view a video online than they are to put a DVD in a machine and watch it. After all, if they are already on a website and fired with interest, it’s easy to click onto a video whilst they are there. By contrast, a DVD requires interest to be re-kindled, and for new time to be set aside for a viewing.

Web designers too have a vested interested in using video. It will give progressive companies an edge over competitors who prefer to remain within the safety of their comfort zones. Video is a good driver for SEO with the potential to push a company up the search rankings. And video is, of course, a value-added product that clients will pay for over and above the conventional costs of the web design and build. Finally, video is an evolving new product that allows designers to re-visit existing clients with a new offering to upgrade the website.

Many companies shy away from the perceived complexity and costs of producing professional looking video. Video production is a specialised area in which most web designers have little or no expertise, and a good working relationship with a video production company is usually a good idea. A production company will be able to advise on content and oversee the video project from beginning to end, delivering edited media to the web designer, encoded and ready for streaming. The precise nature of the relationship will depend on individual circumstances, but whether a web designer introduces the job to the production company or vice versa, a commission fee would be considered normal.

Case Study: Spectrecom Films

Spectrecom Films is an award-winning London-based video production company with a strong track record working for clients across the public and private sector. They have recognised the growing potential of online video and often recommend that even their largest projects are streamed online rather than sent out on DVD. Recent projects include an ongoing series of over 35 promotional films for the Durham University website, 16 recruitment films for Google and a vast quantity of short presented clips for 247Spares, the UK’s top online car parts network, which resulted in a massive 80% increase in sales. Spectrecom’s unique advantage is that they own their own film/TV studio where they can produce highly professional video work in-house at very low cost.

What would be considered low cost? Spectrecom’s MD, Andrew Greener, reckons they can produce studio-presented video for under £1,000 a day; “There are many variables, but we try to keep it simple. So a client could be here in the morning, presenting to camera, and we could edit and encode the material, and upload it to the web designer by the end of the day.” Spectrecom also film on location anywhere around the world, often at very short notice. “We have an American client that often gives us just one or two days notice to film, usually interviews with supporting ‘B’ roll footage, and it could be anywhere in the UK. We haven’t let them down yet”, says Greener. And does Spectrecom work with any designers already? “Yes, there are two companies in particular. We’ve received good projects from them, mostly studio work, but we’ve been able to pass high value work out too.”

Spectrecom practice what they preach, and much of their website carries examples of their video work. Not only that, but it also features videos about themselves in a way that could be adopted by any other company. What’s interesting is that the most popular page navigated to from the home page is the team page, with 25% of all traffic going here first. And the reason? The team page features a video of every member of staff and, quite reasonably, visitors to the site want to find out who they are dealing with.

The Future

Online video is here to stay, and its presence is set to become one of the key elements that differentiates websites. After all, if you could watch a video of a new product or concept online, or read about it, which would you choose? Picture size and quality will only continue to improve, and marketers will dream up new ways of grabbing audience share and delivering key messages with real impact. If you are going to take advantage of this developing phenomenon, you need to understand the benefits and you need to be thinking of the many creative opportunities at the concept stage of new web design.

Using Server to Server Video Applications

On today’s busy Internet highway no matter what your website, niche or business is about you will find information streaming from every corner of the earth. No more so than from social media sites offering video content to both teach, educate and show you the path to take to reach your goals.

This is why social media and video applications have become such a large part of everyday life on the Internet, remember back in the day when YouTube was just a twinkle in your daddy’s eye so to speak they had no real idea where it was going and what path it would take, but look at it now just about every other social media website models it’s self on YouTube’s success.

Of course they are a lot more strict over content these days after taking a hammering in court over and over due to copyright issues and rightly so, If I’m surfing the net for video content to learn about something I would not want my search results full of TV or music videos that should not be uploaded without copyright permission in the first place.

So how does a successful video website become a successful video website through using (social media) well first off you have got to have a decent video community script or portal, there are in fact at my last count over 60 video sharing community scripts no online, some free and some paid but that is still a vast amount.

Personally to run a professional website it’s always best to stay well clear of the cheap or even free scripts, that’s not because they may not offer great support and updates but more because you need a good standing and want to portrait yourself to your visitors as been serious and committed in building your social media video website.

We personally would always recommend the professional choice of using (Kick Apps) this is a social media platform with hundreds of plugin’s and modules that you can add to your website to turn it into an extremely powerful community application. (Kick Apps) is used by some of the biggest names in the business too yet it’s price range can fit just about everyone’s budget. Some of the top names using the application are Guinness Book of Records, ABC News, Fox and many more so you can see it’s gained a great command and respect online.

Once you have your social media website online you will want to get some content on it as fast as you possibly can before you start to market the site to get visitors and new users, having a blank site will be a recipe for disaster and once a visitor comes and finds this they will leave and never return.

We strongly therefore suggest using a very clever application online called VideoSwiper, this application has been serving video webmasters for just over 12 months and is growing extremely fast, rather than go through the motions of how it all works I’ll give you the condensed version, VideoSwiper is a video application that allows video webmasters to transfer media from one server to another in the standard FLV format and now with MP4 and HD support.

VideoSwiper has over 1.5 million videos now cached in its database, this is a whopping selection of media in our view and more than enough in anyone’s niche to get the ball rolling on your media websites with video content. Once you have your VideoSwiper account opened you simply add a plug-in file to your website then add your website details to the VideoSwiper application, then your free to search the massive database for content, store the content in your folders on the VideoSwiper server and when you’re ready you simply transfer the videos from their original servers to yours to be played in your media players.

There is a lot more to it than that and this application is huge but to keep it small and sweet that is what VideoSwiper does, also before I forget you can use VideoSwiper for mass embedding too you don’t have to use it for server to server as some webmasters are trying to keep their server bills as low as possible and to do this mass embedding is the perfect answer.

VideoSwiper does also support over 24 of the popular video sharing scripts online so it’s not going to be just something like (Kick Apps) that has to be used to make good use of VideoSwiper.

Our final thought’s are that when choosing a video community software always go for something professional, be committed and that can mean spending $1000 on the application alone before you even get started, take time to research your niche as you don’t want to start a social media site on a subject that is already flooded on the Internet and always use a service like VideoSwiper to make fast and bulk video transfers to your new social media sites before trying to invite new members, you need to give them something to do on your site rather than joining a site that is just a ghost town.

You can visit VideoSwiper homepage by Clicking Here there is also another great free video sharing community script available for those looking for a simple solution and you can find that here Video SiteBuilder

Downloadable Audio Books: Demand Up And Prices Down

Yes, audio books demand is growing very rapidly and the industry has a hard time delivering what consumers demand. And the increased demand means for consumers that prices are coming down as quantities increase.

One has to distinguish between the physical product audio book, that is delivered on cassettes and CD’s and the digital audio book that can ‘only’ be downloaded from the Internet. But let’s first look why the demand has increased that much:

The hectic lifestyle most of us are forced to lead leaves little time to sit down and read a book. Commuting, heavy work schedules, the kids, different daily chores use up a lot of time. There is simply not enough time left to pick up a book and sit down to enjoy it….

On the other hand we all have time in the day when we are not really busy mentally, where the brain is in ‘idle’ or has at least a lot of spare capacity. Whilst you are occupied with work that demands that you use your eyes (and hands), the mind would be glad to get decent and stimulating input. Just think traffic jam, weeding or cutting the grass, or any other manual chore and housework that use up hours every day, or jogging, working out – any type of sport that mostly occupies the muscles.

An audio book, read by a professional narrator who is telling you the story, is an ideal way to ‘read’ books that you wanted to read for a long time, but that lack of time did not permit. Story telling has a very long tradition and with the new technology, it is gaining popularity again.

“For many people, listening to an audio book is an opportunity to hear an author firsthand,” says Mary Beth Roche, president of the Audio Publishers Association (APA) and president of Audio Renaissance, a New York-based audio book company. “It’s like having the very best lecture series, not just in your own town, but in your own car or home.” – and at your command, they’ll read when YOU are ready to listen.

Audio books used to be thought of as limited special products for only the blind and sight impaired or for kids and lazy people who either can not or do not want to read themselves. This has dramatically changed over the last few years. A survey of the Audio Publisher’s Association has found that the average listener to audio books is about 45 years of age and has an average yearly income of more than $50′000, at least a college education and often more advanced degrees. And these people are very Internet savvy.

In short: These affluent middle aged internauts are the ideal customers for on line audio book shops. Downloading an audio book is like picking up their email for these customers and they appreciate the ease of purchasing a new novel in form of a down loadable audio book, be it for their iPod, Zune or other MP3 player.

“Middle-class, well educated, and smart, that’s a great demographic to have,” says Eileen Hutton, vice president of editorial for Brilliance Audio, one of the oldest publishers of audio books.

Roche says there is no data on sales for the industry as a whole. “We are just beginning to send out surveys to compile sales information, but individually, members of the Association boast of annual sales increases in the double digits,” Roche adds.

Audio book sales are increasing so fast that the audio book industry is not able to keep up with the demand. Creating an audio version of a book is more costly and time intensive than printing. More often than not, an actor or a professional narrator has to be hired to narrate the book, and there’s the cost of the recording studio, a production crew, post production and packaging ( that applies to conventional audio books on CD – Down loadable audio books don’t have that cost attached.). A large saving can be made by making the audio books available as down-loadable audio file. This is also reflected in the cheaper prices for audio books that are down loadable directly from an on-line audio book store.

The peak sales season for audio publishers are in the spring as Americans prepare for those long driving vacations or basking on the beach, and before the Christmas season, when people are shopping for holiday gifts. Sales start to be a lot more even though, as people routinely pick up audio books to feed their MP3 players.

Audio books are especially good for children who hate to read because of problems in school. That way they are familiarized with the adventure of using their own imagination to paint their mental pictures of what they hear, rather than just staring on the TV screen. Also, if they have the book and the audio, reading along can help to overcome reading problems:

“Librarians and teachers have been using audio books for years in the classroom, but parents aren’t making the logical connection at home,” says Amanda D’Acierno, director of audio publishing at Random House. “It’s been proven that listening and reading go hand and hand. If children can hear the spoken word and follow along with the book that helps them. Listening is much more in tune with the way humans learn than sitting down and reading a book.”

People who for some reason or other don’t have the reading skills they should have, but are intellectually fit can listen to audio books to continue their education and listen to self help audiobooks, language course audios etc.

Rolf C. Zimmerli is the author; he is is the publisher of the Downloadable Audio Books Corner Store, the online audio book shop with a wide choice of quality audio books from ‘A’ like Arts & Drama to ‘F’ like Foreign Languages or Fiction, to ‘S’ like Self-Help Audios.
