How to Do Objective Video Testing

Over recent decades, the role of video images has grown steadily. Advances in technologies underlying the capture, transfer, storage, and display of images have created situations where communicating using images has become economically feasible. More importantly, video images are in many situations an extremely efficient way of communicating as witnessed by the proverb “a picture is worth a 1000 words.”

Notwithstanding these technological advances, the current state of the art requires many compromises. Examples of these compromises are temporal resolution versus noise, spatial resolution versus image size, and luminance/color range versus gamut. These choices affect the video quality of the reproduced images. To make optimal choices, it is necessary to have knowledge about how particular choices affect the impression of the viewer. This is the central question of all video quality research.

Current video quality research can be divided into 2 approaches: experimental evaluation and modeling.

Experimental Evaluation

A group of human subjects is invited to judge the quality of video sequences under defined conditions. Several recommendations are found in ITU-R BT.500.10 “Methodology for Subjective Assessment of the quality of Television Pictures” and ITU-T P.9210 “Subjective Video Quality Assessment methods for Multimedia Applications.

The main subjective quality methods are Degradation Category Rating (DCR), Pair Comparison (PC) and Absolute Category Rating (ACR). The human subjects are shown 2 sequences (original and processed) and are asked to assess the overall quality of the processed sequence with respect to the original (reference) sequence. The test is divided into multiple sessions and each session should not last more than 30 minutes. For every session, several dummy sequences are added, which are used to train the human subjects and are not included in the final score. The subjects score the processed video sequence on a scale (usually 5 or 9) corresponding to their mental measure of the quality – this is termed Mean Observer Score (MOS).

Two serious drawbacks of this approach are:

* It is extremely time consuming, and tiresome for the participants.

* The obtained knowledge cannot be generalized because relationships between design choices and video quality are descriptive rather than based on understanding.

As a result, in a single series of experiments only a small fraction of the possible design decisions can be investigated. This makes the process even longer and more tedious.

The second approach tries to address these drawbacks by means of developing models that describe the influences of several physical image characteristics on video quality, usually through a set of video attributes thought to determine video quality. When the influence of a set of design choices on physical video characteristics is known, then models can predict video quality. The models express video quality in terms of visible distortions, or artifacts introduced during the design process. Examples of typical distortions include flickering, blockiness, noisiness, or color shifts.

Two types of models exist, where the fundamental difference between them is how the impairment is calculated.

In the first type, physiologically or psychophysically models of early visual processing are used to calculate impairment from a difference between the video sequences. Many well known metrics exist, which compare the “original” to the “processed” output:

* PSNR – Peak Signal to Noise Ratio

* JND – Just noticeable differences

* SSIM – Structural SIMilarity

* VQM – Video Quality Metric

* MPQM – Moving Picture Quality Metric

* NVFM – Normalize Video Fidelity Metric

The two most important drawbacks of this approach are

* It is unclear what exactly the “original” version of a video is.

* These algorithms are measuring visible differences not video quality.

The second type of model tries to estimate visible distortions directly from the “processed” video; instead of comparing it to the “original”. In this type of model, visible distortions of a video, such as unsharpness or noisiness are predicted by estimating physical attributes of the video. The advantage of this approach is that the “original” video sequence is not needed. The uncertain translation from visible distortions to video quality is an important drawback to this approach.

Video Clarity Solution

Regardless of whether experimentation or modeling is chosen, certain features are common:

* Video must be presented in an “unaltered” state.

* Results must be tabulated and preserved.

Since processing video may take many forms: compression, video enhancements, and color space conversions to name a few, a system must be put in place to normalize the video information so that a comparison can be done. It must be remembered that the end consumer does not care if the original video was compressed with Windows Media, DviX, or MPEG-4. All that matters is whether the video left them with the desired impression.

To streamline the process, equipment for video quality testing needs to be defined, which can capture, play, and analyze multiple video sequences. Further, as new input/output interfaces are continuously under development, the test equipment should use an open-architecture approach to ease upgradeability.

Video Clarity defined the ClearView product line with these objectives in mind.

* Capture video sequences in as many formats as possible.

* Matt/Crop all video sequences to user-selectable resolution.

* Translate all video sequences to uncompressed Y’CbCr 4:2:2 or RGB 4:4:4.

* Support 8 and 10-bit data paths with upgradeability to future 12-bit modes.

* Store the video sequences as frames (fields) so that they can be played at any rate.

* Display the video sequences in real time in multiple viewing modes.

* Playback controls include play, shuttle, jog, pause, pan, and zoom.

* Apply objective metrics to the video sequences.

* Export pieces of video sequences to further analyze off-line.

* Use a standard operating system so that the operator can run 3rd party analysis applications.

By working in the uncompressed domain, any two video processing algorithms can be compared independent of compression or other processing.

To further simplify the work flow, any video sequence can be played; while capturing another video sequence, thus, combining the video server and capture device into one unit. By doing this, the original source is already inside the test equipment for easy comparison.

The original and processed video sequences can be displayed – side-by-side, mirrored, or seamless split – on a single display. This eliminates the need to calibrate two separate displays.

ClearView applies various objective metrics to the video sequences, generates graphs, and calculates an objective score. ClearView includes PSNR, Spatial Information and Temporal Information (as proposed in ITU-T P.9210). These metrics are the basis for more sophisticate metrics like VQM, JND, which are being analyzed by organizations like VQEG, VPQM, and SMPTE.

ClearView displays multiple video sequences, even if they are played at different rates (i.e. mobile phone video compared to TV) for the expert viewers; while recording the objective metric scores. While the MOS cannot be repeated, the objective metric can, easily and readily.

* Repeatable tests, quantitative results, and a streamlined setup.

* Analyze 2 video sequences in real-time up to 1080P.

* Input virtually any file type or capture from any digital or analog source.

* Multiple viewing modes are presented on a single display – no need to calibrate 2 separate Television displays to compare video sequences.

* Integrated uncompressed, high definition Video Server and Capture Device.

* Ability to Play 2 fully uncompressed, HD Streams in Real-Time.

* Hybrid Solution with Integrated Objective Metrics and Subjective Viewing Modes.

ClearView takes advantage of the high-reliability of today’s off-the-shelf, high-performance computer platforms. This ensures that products are made with state-of-the-art hardware, while at the same time avoiding the high cost of custom designs.

ClearView provides broadcasters, researchers, and compression developers with the unique ability to capture, play-out, and analyze video. Objective measurements are generated, graphed, and logged for repeatable tests.

Audio Book Rental Clubs Review

Audio Book Rental Clubs – Getting Your Membership Started

Do you love books but somehow never have the time to sit down and read them? The introduction of audio book rental clubs means that there are no more excuses – you can listen to your favorite novel and still perform the other million necessities that are required in your busy life. There are many audio book rental clubs to choose from so it is advised that before you jump in and sign up you should do your own mini audio book club review. Most clubs will provide you with a free section whereby you can listen to a novel and sample the style of audio that is on offer. After you have sampled the audios from a few different clubs your next logical step is to select the one that best suits your needs and sign up for a formal membership.

There are usually two types of audio book clubs; The first offers the option of choosing your preferred format and physically renting the audio book, or secondly you can listen to the download through the internet. You decide whether you wish to keep the book, or simply rent it for the set period of time (which is obviously the cheaper option). For the busy lifestyle that we lead today the audio book rental clubs are fast becoming an invaluable resource. If you listen to an audio book at least once a day then this is usually a good indicator that you are ready to take the plunge and join an audio book rental club.

Audio Book Rental Clubs – Which One Is Right For You?

By understanding your audio book needs, requirements and habits you will be better equipped to choose the audio book rental clubs that are right for you. Once you are armed with this information then seek out the club or clubs which best suit your needs. Over the past couple of years there has been an enormous amount of money spent on developing this industry and both the audio book download and rental services have become indistinguishable from each other, with both services offering what the other offers.

The customers of the audio book rental clubs have, over time, become more discerning about the service that they require and would prefer to have the freedom of either renting books, or perhaps buying the download to add to a collection. When these clubs were originally formed there was a restriction of choosing one of the other, however, this is no longer the case. When choosing which audio book rental club you are going to join it is important that you firstly consider how you view audio books – are you looking to add to your collection or simply wanting a one-off rental.

The audio book clubs are the perfect choice if you wish to start a collection. If you’re always on the road or prefer to not collect things, then renting out would be your best option. Either service can give you the option to buy or rent so the next things that you need to take into consideration would be the regularity that you intend to listen to your audio books.

There are audio book rental clubs that offer packages based on your listening habits. These plans tend to offer a degree of flexibility so you are not locked into a subscription that is no longer suitable for your needs. There are plans that even reward you if you rent or download more books than what is specified in your agreement. Great savings can be made with these rewards and are usually in the form of a rebate or a price reduction on future purchases.

Pricing should also be seriously considered when you are researching and performing your audio book club review. The price to rent an audio book is usually slightly cheaper than the download option and varies depending on which audio book rental club you join. Take all these things into consideration before committing to a particular audio book rental club that way you will be happy with your commitment and your listening experience will be much more enjoyable.

Viral Videos: Lethally Effective Advertising Carriers

Are you one of those millions out there hooked on the viral video craze? This article describes the opportunities that viral videos offer to internet marketers.

It’s actually just like a disease. It’s already more of an epidemic rapidly spreading over the cyberspace. Despite the many worries of this world, people just can’t seem to stay away from video clips of people doing typically nonsensical things. People can’t seem to keep their fascinated eyes off the wildest and oddest videos available. People certainly can’t resist passing on these ‘nonsensical’ videos to other people by posting these videos in their personal homepages, other websites and emailing them to their friends.

You may have noticed, even night shows and morning news shows feature some of these viral videos. Usually they put on air the most watched viral video online, particularly videos that were most rated and viewed at YouTube. These videos’ main value comes from being truly odd and wild that people just can’t help but laugh when they see them. Some people just get carried away by the hype and even if they didn’t think the video was as funny as some people think they are, they keep their opinions to themselves, laugh with the rest and pass on the video to others.

Viral videos are truly catching, and internet marketers have definitely seen the potential of these viral videos in spreading their marketing message around. It so happens that web sites hosting these viral videos have grown much in popularity. Thus, internet marketers are now using videos extensively in their marketing strategies. You, too, can take advantage of the viral video craze. Just follow these simple steps.

— Using Viral Videos in Internet Marketing

1. Make Your Own Viral Video

You have to make your own video to post at YouTube, at your website, at your online blog, and anywhere else in the internet. However, you must remember that viral videos have certain factor that makes them irresistible. This is what you should keep in mind when you make your viral video.

For instance, you can make a commercial concerning your product. The video clip must be short so that they’re easy to download and view. However, the commercial has to be distinctly funny and unique so it can go the rounds of effective viral videos. Just look around at YouTube and find the most-viewed clips there. Those are the types of videos that make the viral rounds. You must therefore pattern your video clip after these videos.

Do not post a perfectly normal video commercial online if you wish these videos to have some viral effect. Do not wax lyrical about your product in your video. In other words, don’t make it look like a perfectly typical infomercial. Perfectly normal video clips just don’t spread and they’re not going to be effective in marketing your products or increasing traffic to your site.

2. Become a member of video blogging networks

Uppermost in your list of sites to join is, of course, YouTube. However, there are other video blogging sites in the internet. Look around. You must also make it a point to post some of these videos in your site and blogs.

3. Post your viral video and make some more

After you have posted your initial viral video and people seem to have picked it up, then you should immediately follow up with more such videos. Do not let your followers’ attention wane from you, keep them entertained and keep them supplied with more viral videos. This way, you are going to have a loyal following of persons who will eagerly wait for your videos.

About Free Video Download And The 6 Features Of A Good Free Video Download Site.

It is always a happy moment for some of us when it comes to the end of a Friday. This is because we are going to relax from that excruciating week. I personally chose to relax by watching my favourite video (Music video, movies) or playing a video game. Are you like me or just almost like me?

If yes, you know that it is expensive to pay those video rental fees at your video rental store. Not so?

For years, I faced this same situation until I decided that I should look for an alternative to paying those monthly fees to the video rental store so that I can get to take my favourite movies home every friday. Plus on top of the monthly membership fee, I had to pay per movie/video that I was taking home.

What did I do to get away from this situation? I went to google and typed in “free video download”

I was very happy when my search returned 358,000,000 results. “Wow, that is a great number” I said to myself, not knowing that I was in for the worst experience of my life. Don’t get discouraged here, as this experience has turned out to be the best move I made for my life and entertainment.

With the above number, I thought that there are that number of websites where you can get free video download or some thing related to a free video download.

So given that fact that there are many free video download software programs available to download free music videos and video games online, before you use one of those free video download programs you may want to know what you need to look for.

As I stated above,I have joined many free video download sites and I have got the good and the bad experience about them. So here are the 6 things you should look for in a free video download website.

1- There should be no monthly fees or any per video download fee. If any site claims to offer free video downloads and then asks you for any monthly fee of any sort, I recommend that you steer clear of it. However, the best free video download sites will ask for a one time monthly fee just to help them maintain there services and sources for all these videos for you. That is acceptable. From my experience these are the sites that actually give you the real videos you want of high quality.

2- Quality of the videos downloaded: This is some how related to the above point. From my experience, free video download sites that do not ask for a membership fee usually provide low quality videos, some blurred and the likes. You see the most popular video site youtube, there are many videos, it is free to join but what about the quality of the videos you get?

3-Download limits: There should be no download limits what so ever. Most sites limit the amount of videos you can download per day, some per hour and others per session. These are not good and I would not reccommend that you join them.

4-Your safety and the safety of your computer or machine. What I mean here is that you should be worry of most free video download sites. Most have the capacity to infect your computer with viruses, adware and spy ware. For your security and the safety of your machine, you should stay away from these. How do you know that this site will infect your machine with viruses and adware? That is a million dollar question, but my answer is that look for the recommendation of some one who has been there, seen it and experienced it. I have joined many of such free video download sites and I provide a review at my website as you can see in my resource box.

5-How about the number of videos available for you? I think we would all need the site to have as many videos as possible. It would be no good for you to join a site that has only 10 million videos when you can get one with over 100 videos.Look out for such and it is usually listed at the home page of that website where you get to join and become a member of the website.

6-What is in it for you?: You should ask your self this question. By this I mean the variety you get. While most websites will offer one type of videos such as music videos, others will give you access to music videos, movie videos, video games and other software that you can download. I gues it would not be good and valuable for you to join a site that fearures more variety of services and videos for you than the opposite. That would be the best move.

Well, there are many other things I can talk about here such as the customer support, the download speed and many more. But I hope the above can give you a small hint of what you should look for in a free video download website.

Four Tips to Get Your Online Marketing Video Noticed

Once, online video was a novelty. Today, there is a titanic flood of online video, a testament to its immense popularity. What enabled this flood was the widespread availability of high-speed, broadband internet access. Ground Zero for this explosion in online video is YouTube, which was launched in 2005 and purchased by internet search giant Google in 2006

So serious is online video’s impact that Google offers top ten rankings to those videos that have received enough user votes – no matter where the videos come from, or what they contain. Today’s marketing budgets need to be aware that a top ten ranking in Google on certain competitive search keywords can easily run the cost in money and time to the six figures and beyond.

If you haven’t engaged in online video production for your business, consider that at the absolute least, submitting a small number of videos to the various video sharing sites such as YouTube will increase your website’s traffic because you can advertise that site’s URL in the videos and video page. Make sure you use the complete format for your link and viewers of your videos can be at your website in less than a second after seeing your videos.

What are some ways to get those viewers and raise your profile above the video flood?  Here are four tips:

 1) Share your video as a response.
Browsing YouTube will bring you in ‘content contact’ with videos that have high viewership. Look for other videos that connect in some way to your video. You can be creative with the association, but there should be a plain connection. Post the URL of your video as a Video Response to the high-traffic video in order to “coat-tail” some of the popular video’s traffic and bring it to your own video.

 2) Choose specific keywords.
Use Google’s Keyword Tool and feed it the URL of a competing video page, your own product page or any other relevant web property you either own or know of. The tool will suggest keywords that you should use in your own video’s title and in your description copy.

 3) Watch competing videos.
Depending on whether an MBA is saying it, this activity might be called “benchmarking” or “best practice research”. Watch popular videos on various video sharing sites. Examine their content, their description, and their titles. Think about your next video production and imagine ways to mirror what their popular video does. Then implement those ideas, and you will increase your chances of obtaining similarly high traffic.

 4) Find new video sharing sites and get in on their ground floor.
Google owns YouTube, but indexes the entire web.  Feed the video page with sufficient information and an appropriate title and you can expect a search engine presence on the keywords you pick – assuming those keywords aren’t too competitive.

So whether you plan to market your video on DVD, CD, though the many video sharing sites or on the home page of your website, your video needs to look good. Good doesn’t necessarily mean slick. It means that it has to be appropriate to your industry and the audience that you are targeting.

That’s where a professional video company such as Video One Productions can be of service. Come to us with your ideas and we’ll help you craft a video that will be appropriate, affordable and will make you proud to distribute. We’d be happy to provide you with a free consultation and perhaps be of service to you when you decide to have your video produced.

9 Mp3 Audio Book Facts for Newbies

Although the online audiobook revolution has been with us some time, a lot of people are still unsure or unaware of what it’s all about or what audio books actually are especially online audio books. I must admit I myself wasn’t sure at all.

When I first came across audio books online, I found myself asking a number of questions; now today as an audio book site owner I hear a lot of people asking these very same questions so I decided to publish some of the most common audiobook question and answers.

You may very well have these same questions in your mind, wondering how you can find the answers to them. If so, then here some of them along with the answers:

1. What is an online audio book? It is simply a book in audio format. Instead of receiving a physical book that you have to read with yiur eyes, you get a book in sound/audio. Traditionally they came on cassette and then CD. Now the Internet has taken over as the biggest distribution channel so most of them are bought and downloaded online hence the term online audio book.

2. What formats do audio books come in? Way way back they came on vinyl records, followed by cassette formats, CD format and now in mp3 format or Windows Media Audio (WMA) format. Both types will play on computers as well as mp3 players and iPods. You can also burn them onto recordable CDs for use in for example, car CD stereo or home players.

3. So what exactly is an MP3 audio book? MP3 is simply a compression technique that reduces the size, so that your audio book occupies less space (sometimes as little as 80%) compared to that of a cassette or CD. In this way a modern MP3 player that has maybe a 1 gigabyte memory can carry a small library of books!

4. How can MP3 audio books be played? Naturally on any MP3 player as well as Apple iPods. MP3 audio books can also be played on any new version of CD player that supports the MP3 technology. They an also be played on any PC that has Microsoft’s Windows Media Player or other related software.

5. What is an unabridged audio book? This is one that was narrated word for word identically with the original version. In other words nothing was removed from the printed book. It has the exact same content as the printed book, albeit in audio format. These can be very long, ideal for audiophiles!

6. What is an abridged audio book? This type is shorter. It doesn’t contain the exact word for word narration as the printed book. Imagine it as a film version of a book. It’s been edited and cut some for time and practicality. Ideal if you’re short on time or don’t want or need the whole rambling tale.

7. What is a dramatized audio book? As the name implies, this is a dramatised theatrical “play” version of the printed book, with full acting cast, music and sound effects.

8. What is the best MP3 player for audio books? There are loads of models out there but a few pointers are: a) At least 1 gigabyte (GB) memory as some audio books can be big. b) Make sure it has mid track resume so that you pick up where you left off when you have to turn off and on again or your power runs out. c) Fast rewind and forward – Like an old cassette player. Especially important if you’re doing things like learning a language. It’s really important to be able to go back and forth over words and phrases. d) Make sure it supports Windows Media Audio (WMA) format as well as MP3 as many audio books only come in this format. If you have a player that does not (called a passive mp3) then there are workarounds but they are time consuming.

9. Where are audio books available online? There are many stores on the Internet selling audio books. Just type online audio book or mp3 audio book into Google and see what comes up. If you have a specific title or genre in mind type that in followed by the phrase mp3 audiobook.

From London, Nick now lives in Stockholm with wife Lena and Gunnar a Border Terrier. He likes to forest walk and is learning Swedish (from an audio book) He runs where you’ll find 8000+ audio books to download and links to a vast but little known network of free audio book websites.Sign up to his email list or download an audio book and you’ll get the full list.

How An Audio Bible Will Enhace Your Bible Study

The Bible is certainly one of the books with most influence. Many Christians own a well-worn dog-eared bible which they’ve taken with them for many years. The improvements in technology led to dramtized audio Bibles. These bibles in audio format have made this document much more accessible to a larger audience. It doesn’t matter if you have reading issues or if you can’t hold a heavy book, or if you simply don’t have enough spare time to sit and read. With an audio Bible dramtized the word of God is getting much more accessible. Even if you belong to the group of people who regularly consult their written Bible and don’t want to miss the feeling of holding a paper book, you can benefit from listening to an audio Bible.

Audio Bibles help you read the entire Bible from front to back.

The aspiration of many people is to read the entire Bible from cover to cover. Knowing how many pages the Bible holds, this is quite a major task and you need to make a major time commitment. Reading the entire Bible can take you years. Here is one of the strong characteristics of a dramtized audio Bible: Listening to an MP3 audio Bible will tremendously shorten the number of days required to make it through the Holy Book. If you have 30 minutes per day in which you can’t read, but basically would be able to listen to somebody reading the Bible out to you, here is just one example: In these thirty minutes every day you can listen to entire New Testament in approximately one month and half. Also, these new MP3 audio Bibles make it possible for you to easily return to any important sections of the Bible as many times as you wish, just the same way you go back to paper pages in a conventional Bible..

Audio Bibles make it possible to listen to the Bible at times you can not read.

An audio Bible allows you to listen to the word of God – anytime and anywhere – it doesn’t matter what you are doing. This can be a very good use of your time you spend commuting, or waiting in line, or cleaning your house, or working out and exercising. To be able to be listening to the Good Book certainly makes everyday mundane tasks and activities more enjoyable and spiritually uplifting. Because the MP3 format reduces a large book like the Bible into such a small space, a MP3 Bible is much lighter and much more portable than a paper Bible. You can carry it with you everywhere – even to the gym. Having an audio Bible dramatized with you at all times lets you i.e. study the passages for your next Bible study group or for the next sermon at church. You can do this whilst you go through your daily routine.

Compare Bible versions with your MP3 player

The Bible exists in a large number of different translations and versions. There is the King James Bible or the New International Version and these are just two examples. There are many hundred different versions of the Bible available. And if you count the Bibles in different languages it’s easy to reach thousands. If you are studying the Bible, it can be an important investment of space and time to review all of them. With MP3 audio Bibles you can easily study many of the different Bible versions. With these audios it is possible and easy to listen to the same verse from several different versions and to compare them. Audio Bibles can bring new angles to your study group as everyone can listen to a variety of passages from different versions and discuss them.

Dramatized Audio Bibles make the Scripture available to more people still.

One thing will stay the same, whatever technological advances we experience: The Bible is a dynamic book that has withstood the test of time. New technology has always made the Bible accessible to more people. The Gutenberg printing press made Bibles more affordable and for the first time available for the masses. Now the MP3 player does the same for the new audio Bibles. Some oranizations now even offer free audio Bibles. If you want to improve your daily life by listening to the Scripture or if you want to review the difference between versions, an audio Bible is an excellent tool.

Rolf C. Zimmerli is the author; he is is the publisher of the “>”> Downloadable Audio Bibles Dramatized, an online audio book shop with a wide choice of quality audio books from ‘A’ like Audio Bibles to ‘F’ like Foreign Languages or Fiction, to ‘S’ like Self-Help Audios.

7 Steps To Put Audio On Your Web Page

At one time, to put audio on your web pages you would either have to put up $99 for a software package or join a membership club for $19.95-$29.95 per month. All the pros had audio and they refer to it in advertising as an “Attention Capturing”. Now we can all have audio very inexpensively with the click of a few buttons.

First off you will need a program to convert your audio into an MP3 file. I use Impact Web Audio which is $5 from Online Business Alliance, a far cry from the $99 I almost threw up. And of course you will need a computer microphone.

If you have the gift of gab you may be able to rattle off your script off the top of the head and if you have that ability more power to you. If you’re like me, you will want to write a script before hand. I find it much easier to do that but you need to make sure you:

1.) read slowly

2.) talk naturally in a conversational tone

Basically, you don’t want to sound like you’re reading and you want to sound friendly and knowledgeable. With that said, let’s begin.

Step 1 – Record/Create Audio

In most cases you will be recording your audio for the first time. Some people use other people’s audio files which come in .MP3 or .WAV format and they simply upload them to the audio software.

They will have various options for recording such as the Sample Rate(Hz), Channels (Mono or Stereo), and Bit Rate (kbs). When in doubt, use the defaults. With your script in hand or on in a separate window, press the record button and go for it.

Step 2 – Add a Background Loop

Adding an audio background loop to your vocal message serves two purposes:

1.) It makes your message sound professional

2.) It covers up imperfections that might have occurred during your voice message

These types of audio techniques have been used for years by professionals and have only just been made available to the general populace.

Some audio programs come pre-loaded with sound files you can select from. Others allow you to import your own if you’d like and dub your voice message on top. You can fade in your loop and fade it out and set the amount of seconds you would prefer this to take place.

Step 3 – Select Player Style

Next you will need to select your player style. By player style, I mean the audio playback buttons that will appear on your web page. Sometimes they are square and sometimes round. Either way they look like the play buttons on your electronic devices with a right arrow as your play button, two parallel lines as the pause button, and a square as the stop button. Many come with the color chart or a box to enter the hexadecimal color code to match your webpage.

Step 4 – Set Player Options

Here you will decide if you want your player to start automatically when someone clicks on the page. When used for advertising purposes, most people opt to start it automatically. On the other hand, some people find it intrusive so if your point is to educate and get out information you may want to let people decide for themselves.

Secondly, you will want to decide if you want to send your listener to another page when the audio is complete. Again, this depends on the purpose and placement of the player. Nonetheless, you should have a place to enter a URL to send your listener to should you elect to do so.

Step 5 – Preview Audio Player

You will want to see and hear what your player will look like by itself before you place it on your web page. Have your earphones ready and try out the play, pause, and stop button. If you used a background loop, make sure the music doesn’t drown out the audio. You can adjust and mix levels on both tracks for the optimal sound. Some audio generator software allows you to mix for surround sound if that is of interest to you.

Step 6 – Generate Audio Player

Next, you will want to name and save your audio player. For organizational purposes you probably will want to set up a folder beforehand specifically for audio generators so you’ll know where to find them.

The software will create a flash player file and an HTML file. All the files should be kept in th same folder or subfolder. This will make it easier (if not functional) when you upload this data to your web page. You can save your audio player to different locations, with different project names in case you would like to use your audio player on different web pages.

Step 7 – Upload Your Audio Player Code

The final step is to take the HTML code generated by your audio software and copy it into you’re your webpage source code.

The tricky part here is to make sure the files you created earlier are accessible by the code you copy. In your webspace, make sure you have a specific subfolder or subdirectory for your audio files. You will have to make sure that the code on your webpage points to your audio folder or subdirecty in your webspace for it to work properly.

Just say NO to $99 and above for web audio programs. Put audio on your web pages and save $94 at Nathan Gurley is a professional Internet Marketer and Real Estate Appraiser. For more information visit: Nathan Gurley
